Livewell Explorers (Braintree, Halstead and Witham)

Free orienteering events aimed at families with primary aged school children. Markers are put up in the parks and the children use a map to find them, almost like a treasure hunt.

Dino Activities at Braintree Museum (Braintree)

26 July; Grand opening of Dino Exhibition 10am to 4pm/ Dinosaur train- Free of charge with museum admission

Drop- in crafts weekly Tuesday to Friday (27 July to 26 August 2022) 10am to 1pm

Team Kinetix Parkour classes for all ages (Witham)

Classes can be booked by visiting www.teamkinetix.co.uk/classes

Free ‘drop in ‘ sessions for teenagers which include 2 hours of activity and a free hot meal, fully funded by the Active Essex Foundation – please email info@teamkinetix.co.uk for more information.

Plus find us at the Play in the Park sessions throughout the Chelmsford area.

Inflatables Days in the Braintree and Bocking Public Gardens (Braintree)

Every Tuesday and Wednesday during the summer holidays from 12pm to 5pm

Wristbands will be £8 per child for the duration of the event.

Bikeability Sessions (all Essex)

Bikeability courses will be running again this summer, which are an excellent opportunity for your child to gain confidence on their bike.

There are two courses to choose from that will be taking place at Braintree Sport and Health Centre:

Holiday Learn to Ride (any age)

This course is suitable for non-riders. The session is 45 minutes long and you will need to accompany the rider throughout the session.

Holiday Bikeability Level 1 & 2 Course (ages 9+)

The rider is taking part in a 2 day combined level 1 & 2 course, and riders will need to attend for both days.

Books in the Park (Essex)

The mobile library will be holding an outdoor storytime at Thorndon and Weald Country Parks this summer.

-Thorndon Country Park 11 August at 10.30am and 11.30am

-Weald Country Park 11 August 2pm and 3pm

Bring your library card along to borrow some fantastic books to read in the great outdoors and if you aren’t a library member why not join up!

Olivers Maze and Fun Field (Witham)

Lots of activities including a maze, go carting, a tea room and much more.

Open Monday to Saturday: 10am to 4.30pm, Sunday 10am to 4pm

George Yard summer activities

George Yard Shopping Centre, Braintree- 5 August, 11am to 4pm
