Essex Family Support Service

Community 360 has partnered with the Essex Child and Family Wellbeing Service to launch the Essex Family Support Service to support families with school-aged children from 8 to 19 years.

The service will be available to families who are not already receiving support from specialist and statutory services (for families with children under 8 years, support will be provided by Home-start Essex and other Voluntary organisations).

The aim of this service is to support families to work towards the following outcomes:

  • Emotionally healthy, happy and resilient- supporting families to develop and retain positive relationships
  • Behaviour choices that promote safety and wellbeing – including reduction in participation of risky behaviours
  • Socially connected, resilient and resourceful families- supporting people to connect with peers and communities
  • Healthy inter-parental/guardian and family relationships- effective communication and conflict resolution

Access to the service will be via a single point of access. For those wishing to make a referral on behalf of a family please contact Community 360 for a referral form by emailing

Families are also able to self-refer by contacting Community 360 on: 01206 505 250 or by emailing

If you would like to become a volunteer mentor for this service, visit Volunteer Essex to find out more information. You will need to be 18+ and should be able to provide support over Zoom or Skype for a minimum of once a week for approximately 2 hours over a ten week period.
