To support the health and wellbeing of residents in the Braintree District, a new community project, funded under the livewell campaign, has been launched to encourage people to ‘Stay at Home, Grow Your Own’.
Braintree District Council, in partnership with Abberton Rural Training, are giving away 150 free planting starter kits containing everything needed to start growing small food items at home.
PLEASE NOTE: APPLICATIONS HAVE NOW CLOSED.
Individuals or families with financial difficulty and/or shielding and socially isolating in the Braintree District can apply for a free starter pack by submitting the application form.
There are 150 available, so be quick! (one per household)
The starter packs will be delivered by a team of wonderful volunteers across the Braintree district from Witham Community Hub.
